Mahinda overtake Rajans in drawn game
View(s):Dharmaraja batted for almost the whole of the first day and Mahinda paid them the same coin by utilising the whole of day two to compile a mammoth 475-9 in the drawn Under-19 School Cricket encounter played at Lake View yesterday. As for individual performances, Kasun Gunawardene and Isuru Dayananda shone for the Rajans with scores of 82 and 50 respectively.
Mahinda overtook their opponents 325 with ease and went on to compile a mammoth 475-9. Skipper Vinura Dulsara showed the way with a well-compiled 102. Fellow opener and Under-19 player Navod Paranavithana breezed away for his 78. Hansaka Welihinda however took the honours with a big knock of 155. Another national player Nipun Malinga added 41. Thushan Bandara (4/119) put his hand up for the Rajans on day two.
