Gihan Anjana stars in PABC Bank win
View(s):Gihan Anjana (6 for 21) and Umeshka Mendis (3 for 37) proved simply unplayable as they skittled out PABC Bank to give HNB Finance a comprehensive 108 runs win in the ongoing Eighth ‘BMW /Hyundai Trophy – Prestige Automobile (Pvt) Ltd., powered / MCA ‘C’ division 50 Over League Tournament 2019, continued last week end.
Std. Chartered and Asia Asset Finance made winning starts, as they scored convincing wins over Commercial Bank and JL Morison respectively.
In a Bankers battle, Std. Chartered after a few anxious moments were steered to safely by Hiran Rajapaksa (55 not out) and Aruna Madushanka (45) as they beat Commercial Bank by three wickets.
A swashbuckling knock by Nimesh Perera (75 not out) gave Asia Asset Finance a comfortable six wickets win with over 23 overs to spare, over JL Morison.
