Dheera House worthy champions
View(s):Dheera House emerged worthy champions of the C.W.W. Kannangara Maha Vidyalaya Sports Meet, which was held on January 7 at the Campbell Park in Colombo. The champion Dheera House accumulated 351 points in total to come on top while Chandra House was declared runners-up after raking in 276 points.
The overall third place went to Soora House, who earned 251 points while Weera House was placed fourth overall with 217 points. In addition to the sports events that took place points were given for other activities as well. Soora House was placed first in the Drill Display event with Chandra, Dheera and Weera houses following in at second, third and fourth respectively.
Weera House was declared the best in the March Past while Soora and Chandra houses finished at second and third respectively. The Best Decorated House award went to Weera House while Dheera and Soora houses were placed second and third respectively. The Sports Meet for 2019 was held under the patronage of Principal Sumedha Wanigassekara with the able assistance of Deputy Principal Champika Weeratunga and Sagarika Kulatunga, the Prefect of Games. - Pix Ranjith Perera
