Renmin University China offers Master’s Degree programme
View(s):A Master’s Degree programme of Contemporary Chinese Studies (MCCS) has been offered to 100 graduate students in Sri Lanka by the Silk Road School (SRS) of the Renmin University China.
The two-year Master’s degree programme is a key measure by the Renmin University to actively support the Belt and Road initiative (BRI) in the education context.
The Renmin University has a long tradition of specialising in research and training programmes in various disciplines of the humanities and social sciences.
The programme offers overseas students an opportunity to study Chinese governance and foreign relations while living in China, without the hurdle of mastering the Chinese language.
Applicants are expected to be passionate about China and versed in Chinese culture, with an understanding of the goals of China’s development.
The course will be conducted in English and will cover a comprehensive introduction to the economy, politics, law, society and foreign policy of China.
Interviews will be held online during April 2019 for the semester beginning September 2019. The deadline for applications is March 30, 2019 and admissions will be sent out in June 2019. (CC)
