Environmental pollution is one of the most serious problems facing humanity and other life forms   today. Air, water, noise, soil, industries,  motor vehicles etc.  are the main types

of polluting elements. With mounting concerns over the state of our planet where  human health and the global environment are threatened,   it’s becoming critically important that we reduce our environmental hazards

The resource persons of this seminar   intend  to  update  the  environmentalists, industrialists, chemists,  technologists, executives, scientists,  researchers as well as, undergraduates     on “Air Quality Concerns in Sri Lanka and Possible Interventions ,   Climate Change and Extreme Weather,    Towards the Sustainability of Water Use  ,  Water Pollution : Causative Factors and Prevention , Impact  of Agrochemicals on Environment and  Remedial Measures,        Effects of Environmental Pollution on Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown    Etiology   (CKDu), Waste as a Resource   and Plastic Waste Management , Monitoring of Environmental Pollution .
