Captain Marvel lands at the Savoy
Plugged into a machine that displays her memories on a screen, Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel escapes and runs rampage inside a Skrull spaceship. Headstrong and rebellious, Captain Marvel doesn’t just take orders but rather does things her own way.
Captain Marvel premiered in Sri Lanka the day before International Women’s Day at Savoy 3D cinemas and excited fans flocked to see the first female-led superhero movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by Brie Larson, Captain Marvel is an extra-terrestrial warrior from the planet Kree that is locked up in a battle with the shape shifter race called Skrulls. She eventually ends up on Earth or C-53, where she sees ghosts of her old life that she can no longer remember. She also meets Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, without his famous eyepatch and they both work together to save Earth from the Skrulls that have infested the planet.
