Grand Kandyan explores hidden destinations

The Grand Kandyan Team commenced a new strategy to explore hidden destinations in Sri Lanka as the team believes that tourism should be an income generation to the local population. The hotel team’s concept is to explore destinations which have a historical and natural significance thus they can promote it to their guests who seek these experiences.
As for the first destination the Grand Knadyan picked Heeloya, a destination only 30 Km away from the Kandy city. Heeloya is an upcoming tourist attraction. The village comprises of terraced of paddy fields and waterfalls. The village has a history that goes back to 200 years to King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe’s time.
