St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena is a unique school that inherits a proud history of 181 years and has given birth to many great senior scholars in various fields both nationally and internationally.
The school is being administered by the De La Salle brothers who with their unique skills of producing students with a wide range of secondary education such as arts, commerce, medicine, sports and music, following the teachings of St. De La Salle, and continuing the legacy of over 150 years of Lasallian Educational Services. The present director of the school is Rev. Bro. Ernest Tarcicius who has earned his name as a distinguished principal par excellence.
The year 2019 has been a very prudent and practical turning point for students, teachers, Old Boys and well-wishers of the College and is on the right path towards achieving many victories.
The current administration of the college, together with the teachers and old boys are thriving to provide its students a Human and Christian Education to produce a well-balanced personality, with their safe and dedicated service. They hope to promote extracurricular activities that are not currently functioning in any other school, be it state or private, teacher-student oriented teaching and learning methods and provide an all-encompassing learning environment for the students.
