When hair talks!
From the soft curls that dance with joy, to the sleek top knot that means comfort, every woman tells a story to the world, not with words but with hair!
Sunsilk Hairstory 2019 on March 11 at the Hilton Grand Ballroom, Colombo was all about new hair trends to make the new year a time of limitless possibilities with Sunsilk, the global hair care brand.
This year’s Sunsilk Hairstory partnered with hair and beauty expert Ramani Fernando explored the versatility of hair as a mode of expression. The evening showcased 24 hairstyles reflecting the themes of brave, joyful, dreamy and confident highlighting how hair can project a woman’s mood and emotions.
Clad in sophisticated bright orange and hot pink outfits, Marlon Rae’s collection of #Brave depicted edgy and adventurous haircuts, colour casual hairstyling of braids, fringes and high ponytails. Cheery and carefree frizzy curls, side braids and braided knots set off the #Joyful collection by RUMPUNCH in bright pastels.
Inspired by how women embrace the world with love and chase their dreams, the #Dreamy featured fantasy hairstyles paired with flowery accessories, outfits designed by Kosh Hewage. #Confident was all about empowerment and elegant hairstyles were showcased, models in designs by Achala Leekoh.
“Hairstory is about feeling good in your own skin and creating your own identity through your hair. Sunsilk facilitates hair as a powerful mode of self-expression as it is an integral part of one’s personality. It gives women the confidence to experiment with their hair and shows how your hair can be your biggest strength,” said Nilushi Jayatilake, Marketing Director, Personal Care, Unilever Sri Lanka at the event.
