ICASL powered Interact District 3220 Conference 2019
View(s):The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) President Jagath Perera awarded a full talent scholarship to the newly elected District Interact Representative (DIR) Miss Viranya Divitotawela, to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy.
ICASL Media & Communication Committee Chairman Laknath Peiris and other office bearers of the Club also attended the event.
ICASL powered the Interact District 3220 Conference 2019, as the official Educational partner, held at Temple Trees, Colombo, which attracted more than 1000 participants ranging from Interactors to Rotarians between the ages of 16-20 from Colombo, Kandy, Kurunegala, Galle and Jaffna.
Mr. Perera said that ICASL has always supported important initiatives by the student community and this sponsorship too, was part of a larger objective in helping impart the importance of a recognised qualification among the future leaders of the country. “ICASL has always attracted some of the best talents from Commerce as well as Maths and Science streams to follow the benchmark qualification in Chartered Accounting, and have gone onto acquire unique skills with the ability to steer any business with success,” he said.
Mr. Laknath Peiris said that an important aspect of the qualifications offered by ICASL was that every student, on obtaining the qualification, was guaranteed employment.
