Visakha Vidyalaya skipper receiving the Motwani Challenge Shield
Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo won the inaugural Motwani Challenge Shield Netball match, ‘the Battle of the Golds’ by scoring 49 goals and beating opponents Sujatha Vidyalaya, Nugegoda comprehensively. Sujatha Vidyalaya managed to score 10 goals in the match that was played at the Racecourse Ground in Colombo. Visakha Vidyalaya was led by Upani Rupasingha while Lilasha Mannage led Sujatha Vidyalaya.
Principal of Visakha Vidyalaya, Sandamali Aviruppola was the chief guest. Managing Director of Sujatha Vidyalaya — Lakshman Kuruppu, Principal of Sujatha Vidyalaya — Pushpa Kalubowila, Vice Principal of Visakha Vidyalaya, Anusha Damayanthi, Vice Principals of Sujatha Vidyalaya Indeeka Wanigaseka and Kartini Rawdin and the Organising Committee headed by Ranmali Perera also made their presence at the event.
