Yash creates new record in 1500m Freestyle
View(s):Yash Biren Peiris of Asian International School established a new record in the Boy’s Under-15 1500m Freestyle event at the Junior National Short Course Swimming Championship 2019, held at the Isipathana College Swimming Complex recently.
Yash won the Boy’s Under-15 1500m Freestyle event with a timing of 18 minutes and 09.95 seconds, 42,47 seconds quicker than the previous record. In addition to that the young swimmer went on to claim another gold medal in the Boy’s Under-15 400m Individual Medley while winning a bronze medal in the Boy’s Under-15 400m Freestyle event. He was also placed fourth in the Boy’s Under-15 200m Freestyle event final.
