The Sri Lankan Muslim community of Canberra organised a vigil along with members of other faiths to express their condolences and grief over the loss of innocent lives on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka.
The event was held on May 2 at the Canberra Islamic Centre with many Sri Lankans along with the Minister and staff from the Sri Lankan High Commission of Canberra attending. Local religious leaders and few prominent community members were among the guest speakers and a message from Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo was read at the event.
