Brexit seminar by Ceylon Chamber on May 24
View(s):The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is organising a seminar under the theme of ‘Brexit and its Implications to Sri Lanka’ on May 24 at the Chamber auditorium starting at 9.00 am.
The seminar will serve as an important opportunity to understand both the outlook for the economy and key sectors in 2019.
The UK’s decision to exit the European Union and the subsequent developments since then has resulted in uncertainty for global trade and financial markets. Dr. Ganesh Wignaraja (Executive Director of Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute), Utsav Kumar (Senior Country Economist, Asian Development Bank) and Ms. Jayani Ratnayake (Economist, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce) will be the key presenters. Thereafter Nimal Karunathilake (Acting Addl. Director General of Commerce), Felix Fernando (Immediate Past Chairman of Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters Association/ Group Director, Omega Line Ltd) and Utsav Kumar (Senior Country Economist, Asian Development Bank), will take part in a panel discussion moderated by Shiran Fernando (Chief Economist, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce).
