RCSS’ 2019 Kodikara Research Fellowship goes to Portia
View(s):The Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) has awarded the 2019 Kodikara Research Fellowship to Portia B. Conrad. She is currently working for India International Centre, New Delhi.
During her fellowship, Ms. Conrad will conduct a research on “How do CBMs (Confidence Building Measures) perform in South Asia: Mapping the Relative Performance of India-Pakistan CBMs”.
The Kodikara Research Fellowship was established by RCSS in 1996, naming it in honour of renowned international relations scholar, Prof. Shelton U. Kodikara, the founding Executive Director of RCSS.
The Kodikara Fellowship provides opportunities for young scholars to encourage in rigorous research on traditional security and Non-Traditional Security (NTS) issues at national, regional and sub-regional level.
RCSS is an independent, non-profit regional think tank based in Colombo, which engages in collaborative research, networking, and dialogue on strategic and international issues pertaining to South Asia. Established in 1992, it serves as a leading networking and research hub for strategic and security discourse in South Asia.
The Kodikara Research Fellowship is one among many RCSS programmes and projects that provide platform to generate new knowledge and perspectives, and impact policy decisions through its research findings.
