‘Hits of Motown Show’ in Sri Lanka

Popular Jazz and Soul musician Roy G. Hemmings of ‘The Drifters’ fame will be in Sri Lanka to present ‘Hits of Motown show’ at the Grand Ballroom of the Colombo Hilton on 5th June at 7.30 pm.
Roy has entertained audiences around the world with his easy, relaxed style and fabulous voice that span four decades and includes appearances in several Royal variety shows and twice at the White House.
Roy will be accompanied by 3 amazingly talented female performers- ‘The love Supremes’
The Motown show features songs by the Drifters, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie to name but a few. The two-hour show features all the popular hits by the Drifters such as save the last dance, Under the Boardwalk, Stand by me and a number of other popular Motown songs made popular by the artist mentioned.
Both critics and fans agree that Roy is a great showman and dynamic singer.Understood as the longest serving former member of legendary group, ‘The Drifters’, Roy had worked alongside founder Johnny Moore for more than 10 years.
