Jaffna, Ruhuna, Open Universities’ facilities to be expanded
View(s):The Cabinet has approved a proposal presented by Minister of City Planning, Water Supply & Higher Education, Rauff Hakeem, to expand facilities in the Universities of Jaffna, Ruhuna and the Open University of Sri Lanka.
The Government will award contracts to construct a 3-storey Library building for Jaffna University’s Vavuniya Faculty for Rs 312.2 million, and a 10-storey Ward complex for the Medical Faculty of the University of Ruhuna, for Rs 1,138.3 million to Central Engineering Services Pvt Ltd.
A 5-storey building for the Health Faculty of the Open University for Rs. 378.8 million, is to be awarded to K.S.J Constructions Pvt. Ltd .
