View(s):‘CIMA continues challenge to find the best business brains in Sri Lanka’
All the participants will go through a comprehensive yet flexible workshop and assessment programme towards achieving their global certification and title – CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. This also includes a number of practical sessions that supports critical thinking and decision-making which candidates can apply in any business environment.
Those eligible to participate are candidates with an MBA from a recognised University with 3 years of related finance experience or middle managers with three years of relevant work experience. The challenge is open to companies as well as independent teams. Applicants need to register before 30th of June for the August session.
A special opportunity for the challenge participants is that, those passing the Management Case Study (MCS) exam, will be bestowed with a power-packed opportunity for a direct route towards the final assessment i.e. the Strategic Case Study (SCS), to complete the CIMA Professional qualification. Those with relevant work experience can thereafter proceed to apply for membership from CIMA.
Following the launch of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation in 2012, both CIMA and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) have come together to form the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants – also known as ‘The Association’. Operational since January 2017, the Association represents 667,000 members and students in public and management accounting. With broad reach, rigor and resources, the Association advances the reputation, employability and quality of CGMAs and accounting and finance professionals globally.
CGMA is the most widely held management accounting designation in the world. It distinguishes accounting and finance professionals who have advanced proficiency in finance, operations, strategy
and management.
