The De Lanerolles return to the Lionel Wendt
View(s):The De Lanerolle Brothers will be returning to a favourite venue – one they recognise as one of the best acoustic halls Sri Lanka has – the Lionel Wendt. Celebrating 10 years this year, the duo will stage ‘It’s a classic’, their fifth local concert out of 10 this year on July 1, this concert being presented by Wijeya Newspapers Ltd.
The concert will be a piano and voice concert with no amplification. At the piano will be Sureka Amerasinghe while maestro Neranjan De Silva will provide orchestral enhancement.
The highlight of the show will be their mother Ganjalee, a pianist who accompanied the sons 12 years ago at the same location taking the stage for a guest appearance.
Fans can look forward to a great mix of music – a few songs from their classical repertoire, well loved Broadway hits and Italian and Neopolitan songs all presented in Rohan and Ishan’s own blend of harmony.
Tickets priced Rs. 2500 and Rs. 1500 are available and can be purchased by calling The De Lanerolle Brothers hotline on 0777-996991. Balcony tickets priced Rs. 500 are available at the Commons Coffee House.
So keep a date with the De Lanerolles on Monday, July 1 at the Lionel Wendt at 7.30 p.m.
