Old Anandians’ 70-75 group to recognize 143 top achievers at the G.C.E.(Advanced Level) Examination in 2018
View(s):The Old Anandians’ 70-75 group has for the 13th consecutive year organized – “Nena Harasara 2018” to recognize students who excelled at the G.C.E. (A. Level) Examination held in 2018 and to felicitate the members of the Tutorial Staff whose untiring efforts and devotion helped the students to excel.
The Ceremony will be held at 7.30 a.m. on 03rd July 2019 at the Kularatne Hall – Ananda College, with the patronage of the Principal Mr. S.M Keerthirathne, Management Committee, and the Tutorial Staff. As in the previous years, the Event will be graced by distinguished old Anandians who have excelled in their respective disciplines to give recognition to the recipients who are being felicitated and to boost the morale and motivate the present student population to achieve greater heights. The distinguished Old Anandians who will be attending the ceremony are-

Ananda College recorded the highest percentage by any school island-wide, with 143 students gaining Distinctions in all three subjects; 52 students from the Mathematics Stream, 32 students from the Bio Stream, 42 students from the Commerce Stream, 10 students from the Engineering Technology Stream and 07 from the Arts Stream. On the other hand it is noteworthy that among these 143 students there’s the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 9th Island ranker in the Engineering Technology stream, 6th in Biology stream, 8th in Arts stream and 10th in Commerce stream respectively.
Ananda College has achieved remarkable success at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examinations over the last decade recording the highest number of admissions to Universities in the country.
