Vidyartha edge-out DSS in a thriller
View(s):Vidyartha College survived a fierce second half rally before recording an exciting 29-21 victory over D.S. Senanayake (DSS) College in their Inter-Schools Under-19 League Rugby Tournament Plate Segment fixture worked off at Havelock Park yesterday.
Vidyartha were cruising along towards a comfortable victory after having built up a commanding 26-7 lead at half time.
However, in a dramatic turn of events D. S. Senanayake scored twice in the second half to reduce the margin to 21-26 at one stage. Vidyartha managed to convert a crucial penalty during the latter stages and went on to snatch the game in a thriller.
