Community service projects to mark the 53rd birthday of Gangodawila Shri Vijayarama viharadhipathi
View(s):A series of community service projects and a blood donation campaign have been organised at Shri Vijayarama in Gangodawila on July 04 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event has been organised to mark the 53rd birthday of Rajamahaviaharadhipathi Vinayacharya Saddarmakeerthi Shri Amunumulle Jinarathana and invoke blessings on those killed and wounded in the Easter Sunday terror attacks.
The community service projects have been organized by the Dayaka Sabhawa of the temple, the Punyodhaya Upasika society, the Yashodhara Kulangana Society, Dharma Deepthi Daham Pasela, Praja Sanwardha Kendraya, Vijaya Suhadha Sangamaya and the Lions club of Udahamulla. The blood donation campaign will be open for those between 18 to 60 years and weighing over 50 Kgs.
In addition, a dental clinic, an eye clinic, a programme to distribute spectacles for those who are over 55 and a clinic for non-communicable diseases will be held. Medical services will be available for the detection of diabetes, heart ailments, mental stress, cancer, children’s skin diseases and other ailments.
The organisers have requested the visitors to carry their national identity cards, avoid carrying unnecessary bags and parcels, and bring their previous medical reports if available.
