Except Grades 1, 5, 6, Vacancies in other Grades on MoE website
View(s):The Ministry of Education (MoE) will adopt a transparent method to fill vacancies in National schools, in view of greater demand for placements in National schools.
The MoE said that, except for Grades 1, 5 and 6, vacancies in all other Grades in National schools will be available on its website.
Accordingly, under the new criteria for selection, children of all Parliamentarians, away from their permanent residences, will be eligible to apply. Government officials transferred 50 km or beyond, and have relocated their families, will also qualify for to apply, along with public servants who have gone overseas on scholarships for one year or less.
Private sector employees on transfer and relocated 50 km away will also be considered. In addition, people who move house and relocate themselves over 50 km distance can apply.
Children of people overseas on private businesses for over 1 year, can also apply.
Those without the above qualifications will also be considered, subject to the number of applications received by the MoE.
All applications under this category will have to reach the MoE by July 17, 2019. Applications can be downloaded from the MoE website: www.moe.gov.lk.
