Extreme Examinations and Assignments – When compared to other computing qualifications available in Sri Lanka, the PCJT Degree programme uses a relatively large number of extreme assessment tools to assess student knowledge in order to ensure their competency in subjects of the curriculum. At present, there are approximately 150+ assessments including theoretical examinations, viva presentations, industrial level projects, practical and coding examinations.
Selection Criteria – The Java Institute for Advanced Technology uses a very strict and methodical criteria to select students for this Graduate Programme as only 240 students with a very high IQ level are permitted to enroll per year. In addition, although it is mandatory to pass the IQ test in order to be applicable, students are considered to be officially enrolled for the Software Engineering Degree Programme only if they successfully complete the free 100-hour trial lectures, closely monitored by senior lecturers.
