Win-stone hotel school
In the modern world thinking people’s perception and prejudices of the tourism and hotel industry has taken a drastic change. Win-stone as a hotel school is serving with purpose of creating employment opportunities to the students.
How are we different?
Win-stone is not just a hotel school training institute, but we go beyond that as far as our capacity and guarantee job placements. We provide solutions for employment problems of students. We do the visa and train them for IELTS and pave way and opens up doors for many opportunities.
We are the only institute which employs students in tourist cruises. We train for 6 months, we train in the industry for 8 months and we send the students for Aida in German, Costa in Italy, princess in Norway and Australian ships.
There are many opportunities as soon as a student walks in through the door.
Canada pathway
The students who are aged below 21 who have completed 6 O/L passes are guided towards the certificate level course in cookery and bakery. After providing 6 months training they are transferred for 3 years study in Canada and 3 years work permit after which they can apply for residency. Though Canada is a country with a lot of opportunities it is not much promoted within people and the students are given a chance to do a job in Canada without IELTS.
Dual Advance diploma
The Malaysian Lincoln University and Sri Lanka Win-stone joining hands together have built up a partnership to provide a pathway for dual diploma that goes on for one year which is recognized in Switzerland by the BHMS University. The diploma consists of 6 months study and 6 months on job training with a good salary.
What next?
This paves the pathway to transfer to one year dual degree UK and Switzerland, in completion provides the opportunity to apply for internship in any country as work permit including German, Canada, Italy, and USA. The students can go on till the masters after the one yearpost graduate degree.
For those who do not target to go to Switzerland, the option of 2 years degree study in New Zealand 3rd year work permit is available which generates a pathway for residence later on.
Australian pathway
In completing 6 O/L passes or A/L passes the students are eligible to engage in the certificate level 3 in Sri Lanka and the next 3 levels within one year in Australia.
O/L pathway follows the Bachelor in Hospitality management 2nd and 3rd year in Australia and two years of work permit which can be followed up by masters. While the A/L can complete the next stage which is the bachelor in business tourism and event management which can be completed in Australia within 3 years.Both these programmes provide 2 years of work permit in the country and provides the pathway to the masters.
Hotel Management
If anyone wishes to stay in Sri Lanka after thedual advance diploma they are free to do so. Since it is a management diploma they can easily join the management field after acquiring the required experience, after 28 or 29 years of age. We promote this pathway since we are in need of young and talented new generation for management.
Start anew
There’s no barrier for a child’s future even if they fail O/L s since one door closes it opens several others.
We want to take this to the villages. Our first step is to train the students in English; we train every batch for 3 or 4 months before taking them to the subject matters. We start off with the basic personality training from how to face an interview to making a good CV. We create a holistic student who can face the challenges.
Nobody has to stay at home without doing anything;in fact there is a better chance for them to explore the world before others. Within a few months a child gets to travel to 20 or so countries and the experience they get is a vast one which has a great value. It is not an experience a normal person can gain. And the experience cost them nothing since the expenditure is taken care of.
Teaching process
Though we are a private institute we are been joining hands with government organizations.
We have been carrying out this process of educating the students for more than 6 years. It should be stated that we have been granted with opportunities due to the quality of our training and teaching, and we have been able to maintain it throughout the years. There are limited vacancies since we only permit 25 students per batch abiding by the international rule.Our subject curriculum is internationally accepted.
Since the whole process is finally based on the practical much attention is given in conducting practical. Though the expenditure of the practical is costly, without it the students will fail.
It should be seen that we have accomplished great heights because of the quality training.
All theLecturers are graduates who are in the hotel field, who have experience overseas. We are blessed with an amazing lecture panel. We also bring down the lecturers from the local universities when needed.
In case the students don’t want to go abroad we place them in the best pathway in Sri Lanka, inhotels such as cinnamon grand, Hilton and so on.
Payment
There are flexible payment plans and we guarantee a job without any payments for placement since it is done through the institute. Only those who go abroad for studies should pay a little extra. We help and render our full support for the students to fulfil the pathway. Education is always a future investment.
History
We started off in 2004 and up until today we have come a long way. We started off with only the certificate level and have developed and expanded upto advance diploma. Within these few years we have achieved a lot. We have gained the Australian qualification, South Australia tafe level 3 of cookeryor bakery.
We facilitate Diplomas available in bakery, cookery, housekeeping, front office and food and beverages. The next level which is the Advance diploma covers all management subjects from HR to event management.
In the past there wasn’t much education in the field but now we train the students and they know what they are going to face.
