French envoy gifts French books to Kelanyia Uni.
View(s):Ambassador for France in Sri Lanka, Eric Lavertu gifted French books to Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. D.M. Semasinghe of the University of Kelanyia (UoK) recently, when he visited the UoK on July 22, and met the VC and staff of the French Unit of the Department of Modern Languages.
There were discussions on how to improve and maintain links between the French Embassy and the UoK.
Present on the occasion were Dean- Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Patrick Rathnayake, Senior Lecturer Dr. Dilrukshi Rathnayake, Head- Department of Modern Languages, Prof. Niroshini Gunasekera, Senior Lecturer Dr. Samanthi Jayawardena, academic staff members of the French Unit, Cultural Councillor- French Embassy Jean-Philippe Gavois, and officials of the Cultural Section of the French Embassy.
