Over Rs 1b for infrastructure development in the Education sector

The Cabinet this week approved a series of proposals for the construction of buildings at a cost of more than Rs 1 billion, for the Education sector.
The proposals presented by Acting Minister of City Planning, Water Supply & Higher Education are n Construction of a Help Zone in the University of Colombo, awarded to Kandy Construction Battaramulla for Rs. 520 million.

  •  Construction of 5-story building complex for the Colombo Office of the Buddhist & Pali University, awarded to K.S.J. Constructions Pvt. Ltd at a cost of Rs, 252 million.
  •  Construction of a Para Clinical Building for the Rajarata University, awarded to Sunken Constructions Pvt. Ltd for Rs. 767 million.
  •  Renovation of the entire Building Complex of the Department of Examinations, awarded to the Engineering Consulting Bureau. – MNC
