Effect Principals’, teachers’ transfer requests before academic year 2020- MoE
View(s):The Ministry of Education (MoE) has ordered that all transfer requests of national school teachers and principals, be completed before the commencement of academic year 2020.
It is learned that, of the 6,000 teachers requesting transfers this year, 2,000 have served for over 10 years in the same school.
Already, 17,000 transfer requests- 12,000 in 2017 and 5,000 in 2018- from teachers serving in the same school for over 10 years, have been effected in the last 2 years.
In 2017, The Government initiated a programme to transfer all teachers serving more than 10 years in the same school. The MoE noted that the number of such requests were declining.
