Film on the selection of the President
In the backdrop of huge competition and controversy over selection of Presidential candidates for the upcoming election, filmmaker Udayakantha Warnasuriya has selected a related theme for his newest film ‘President Superstar’.
Having completed the shooting of the film, Udayakantha is now getting ready for the post production.
In this filmmaker has connected politics to one of the popular TV programmes of selecting superstars, thus plans to present an entertaining cinematic production.
The film cast with a large number of popular stars includes Mahendra Perera, Sriyantha Mendis, Isuru Lokuhettiarachch, Gihan Fernando, Priyantha Seneviratne, W. Jayasiri, Sanath Gunatillake, Lucky Dias, Rodney Warnakula, Roshan Ranawana, Shyam Fernando, Pubudu Chathuranga, Ashan Dias, Bimal Jayakody, Teena Shenal, Dharmapriya Dias and Palitha Silva.
Behind the screen, Jayanath Jayawardena handles cinematography and he is assisted by Ayeshmantha Hettiarachchi and K. D. Dayananda.
Editing and sound designing are done by Praveen Jayaratne and make up is by Wasantha Vittachchi and art director is Arun Dias.
Music direction is by Mahesh Denipitiya and assistant director of ‘President Superstar’ is by Donald Jayantha.
