A Battle for life after a major disaster
Alexandre Aja’s nail-biting horror thriller ‘Crawl’ is now being screened at Liberty by Scope Cinemas and Colombo City Centre in Colombo and other outstation theatres.
The French filmmaker Alexandre is well-known for his work in the horror genre has earlier made High Tension in 2003, The Hills Have Eyes in 2006, Mirrors in 2008, Piranha in 2010, and Horns in 2013.
The film depicts the story of a daughter and a father (Played by Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper), who along with their dog are hunted by alligators after becoming trapped in their home during a Category 5 hurricane.
When a massive hurricane hits her Florida hometown, Haley ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father. Finding him gravely injured in the crawl space of their family home, the two become trapped by quickly encroaching floodwaters. As time runs out to escape the strengthening storm, Haley and her father discover that the rising water level is the least of their fears.
Written by Michael Rasmussen and Shawn Rasmussen, the film is produced by Craig Flores, Sam Raimi, and Alexandre Aja himself.
