Allianz Lanka appoints new Deputy CEO
View(s):Allianz Lanka recently announced the appointment of Nihal Handunge as the Deputy CEO for Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Ltd. With this new appointment, Mr. Handunge will take the responsibility of overseeing the growth strategy of the business along with the overall management responsibility of Allianz Lanka’s Life operations in Sri Lanka.
Speaking on this occasion, Gany Subramaniam, CEO/Director of Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd and Non-Executive Director of Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Ltd said, “Bringing vast amounts of experience from the insurance sector as well as from Allianz Lanka’s own operations, the appointment of Nihal Handunge as the Deputy CEO for Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Ltd is a decision that the board has made with great confidence.”
Mr. Handunge is a multi-disciplined professional with 36 years of experience in Life Insurance sales, distribution and operations. Out of this, 32 years of his career have been dedicated to corporate management, where he contributed significantly to the growth strategy of the companies he worked for, a media release from the company said.
