MoE strengthens Education Policy Planning, Research through Monitoring, Evaluation
View(s):The Ministry of Education (MoE) has conducted results based monitoring and evaluation to strengthen the education policy planning and research.
According to the Moe Annual Report, it had empowered the planning process by preparing and printing the Mid-term strategic 2019-2025 plan along with the mid-term Budget Framework and Annual Plan. Copies of the Budget framework and the Annual Plan were submitted to Provincial and Zonal Education officers.
They also prepared a conclusive report of the transporting the school education system as the foundation of a knowledge hub project implemented during 2012 to 2018, under concessional lending from the World Bank.
The MoE also conducted a Leadership and Motivational Workshop for 120 Deputy and Assistant Directors of Education in charge of Planning at the MoE, Provincial Department of Education and Zonal Education officers.
MoE officers participated in South Asia Regional Conference on the use of Large Scale Assessment for Improvement of Learning and Teaching process.
The MoE also intends to update the “Guidelines Manual on School Planning, Updating the Circular on school structures and the Guidelines Manual and Capacity Development of all Provincial and Zonal Planning officers engaged in major functions of projects and progrmmes. Discussions have taken place with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEFF, GIZ, Korea International Cooperation Agency, UNESCO and Commonwealth of Learning for international assistance for General Educational Fields.
