Nidumi Wijerathne of CfPS Law School graduates with a First Class LL.B from the University of London
View(s):Nidumi Wijerathne – a Student of CfPS Law School obtained First Class honours at the Bachelor of Laws examination of the University of London.
Nidumi was a past pupil of St Bridget’s Convent Colombo 07. From among thousands of students around the world who sat for the University of London LL.B exams in 2019 only 8 students world over including Nidumi obtained a first class degree.
After her A/L’s Nidumi registered with CfPS Law School, (which is a Registered Centre of the University of London) in order to pursue a career in law. At CfPS Law School she was awarded a 50% scholarship. Nidumi registered with the CfPS Law School for all three years of her University of London LL.B degree.
Due to the guidance and direction she received from the CfPS Law School, Nidumi was able to secure a first class at this year’s University of London LL.B exams. Nidumi generously attributes her success to the eminent lecture panel which consists of legal practitioners and legal academics possessing both local and UK academic and professional qualifications.

It would be ideal if you could go to London to study Law with the University of London. The high cost would deter many prospective students from pursuing this option. The good news is that you don’t have to go to London to do the University of London LL.B degree.
You can study in Sri Lanka at one of the Recognised Teaching Institutions of the University of London such as the CfPS Law School. The University of London LL.B degree certificate does not mention the county or the institution of study – it simply says the degree is awarded by the University of London.
The University of London LL.B can be completed in 3 years. If you already have a degree on any subject from a recognised university you have the opportunity to complete the LL.B in 2 years. University of London LL.B graduates are eligible to sit for the exams of Sri Lanka law college without having to pass the most competitive law college entrance examination.
