Unbeaten Trinity Cubs emerge champions

Trinity College overcame Isipathana College 10-5 to clinch the Milo Inter-School Under-14 10-a-side Rugby Tournament held at the Royal College Sports Complex. Trinity scored from two unconverted tries against a solitary unconverted try scored by Isipathana.
Trinity thrashed Zahira College 31-0 in the Cup semi-final after scoring five tries and three conversions, while Isipathana defeated St. Peter’s College 7-0 with converted try. Trinity recorded a convincing 19-0 against Wesley College in the Cup quarter-final after a successful first day. Isipathana recorded a close 10-7 victory against D.S. Senanayake College. The victorious Trinity Cubs were captained by Raveen Illangaratne.
St. Joseph’s College beat Wesley 10-5 to annex the Plate championship where three unconverted tries were scored by both sides. Vidyartha College recorded comprehensive 21-0 win against hometown rivals Kingswood College, scoring from three converted tries. Mahanama College beat St. Benedict’s College 15-5 to secure the Shield title.
