VIEC expand to Sri Lanka

The ground-breaking inauguration was held at the VIEC Sri Lanka head office in Havelock Town. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Australian High Commission First Secretary (Development) Dr.Thomas Davis as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural ceremony of VIEC Sri Lanka was commenced with the traditional lighting of lamp by a group of dignitaries namely Dr.Thomas Davis, Mr.Kanishka Padidilian (Business Development Manager – Sri Lanka and Maldives Australian Trade and Investment Commission), Mr. Vinod Malhotra (VIEC regional head South Asia), Chamika Godagedara (VIEC Sri Lanka Area Manager), Tharinda Tennakoon and Rashi Dilan Alwis.
Lighting of Lamp was followed by a speech from Mr.Vinod Malhotra welcoming all the dignitaries to the special occasion. Soon after the welcome speech Dr. Thomas Davies addressed the importance of international education and international student community.
To conclude the ceremony a special dinner was organised by VIEC Sri Lanka for all the dignitaries that was a part of the VIEC Sri Lanka Inauguration Ceremony.
