The Sri Lanka Council for the Blind marked White Cane Day at an event held at the Colombo Public Library on Tuesday (15), with Hameedias Deputy Managing Director Hussain Sadiq as Chief Guest.

The Council distributed items to visually handicapped persons, while a scholarship scheme was introduced for students from Grades 6-12. ‘Amity Foundation’, a Chinese voluntary organisation, assisted in providing the Scholarships.
