The Leo Club of Colombo (Host), District 306 A1, Sri Lanka has been ‘Serving the Community and Grooming Leaders Since 1969’. The Colombo Host Leo Club sponsored by Lions Club of Colombo (Host) is proudly the longest standing Leo Club in Sri Lanka with 50 years of continuous service.
Colombo Host Leo Club was established back in 1969 on 21st September with a bunch of 23 young boys and girls. Later that year with snail paced paperwork reached the Chicago office of LCI and we were officially established by the Lions Club International on 20th October 1969. The club has been a platform to thousands of young leaders to groom for 50 Golden Years.
As the longest standing Leo Club of Sri Lanka, we marked the celebration of 50 years for the Leo Clubs in Sri Lanka. Activities and projects carried out by the Leo Club of Colombo (Host) includes Childcare, Eldercare, Educational and Leadership Development Projects, Sports Projects, PR Projects and so much more.
The 50th Club Anniversary is organised by the Leo Club of Colombo (Host) was held on 19th of October 2019, from 7.30 pm to 11.30 pm at The Galle Face Hotel, Colombo 03 with the participation of 100 participants. It was one of the most prestigious and historical event and our club anniversary which brought together current membership, former members, prospects for Leo Club of Colombo and the district which includes formal ceremonial session followed by a celebration.
