At School I wasn’t a very social kid, but it all changed in my senior year. I started to take part in many extra-curricular activities and won several awards and received many recognitions in school; I won Orator of the year, Debater of the year in 2018 and I will be getting school colours at the prize -giving for my work in the Model United Nations (MUN). Being selected to be the President of the United Nations Environmental Programme held for Colombo Model United Nations in 2020 is a great opportunity for me, as its one of the largest 3 –day conferences in the world. After completing my A/Levels in Math’s, Physics and Chemistry stream I have plans to go to Canada to pursue Mechanical Engineering.
ANC Education was the best choice for me because they have a very comprehensive U.S/Canada University Transfer Program. It was also financially advisable for me to complete 2 years at ANC and transfer to Canada. I joined the ANC Fall intake 2019 batch and it has been a great experience. Lectures are very interactive and I am really enjoying my foundation subjects in Modern World History. Doing something new that no one has done before in the field of Mechanical Engineering is my aspiration while leveraging on my Public Relation skills. I had an amazing school life; I had many friends and my school helped me discover my passion for music and develop my singing talents. One of my greatest achievements was performing at the Asia Pacific Choir Games Competition and winning the Silver Diploma in the Junior Category. After my London O/Levels I started to look at a career path in Psychology. We spoke to many institutions in Colombo and ANC came highly recommended as their U.S Psychology programme is excellent and two of my cousin brothers had also studied at ANC and are now pursuing great careers in USA.
I was excited to join ANC Education because they gave me a clear idea of my career path in Psychology and that joining at a young age is a huge advantage to advance in a Master’s programme and start new innovations in the field of Psychology. At age 15 I joined the ANC Fall 2019 1st intake and it has been incredible. In just two weeks I met some great people, made many new friends, I auditioned for the Performing Arts Club and got selected, I joined the Rotaract club and attended club meetings to plan for fall student events and I also went for the movie premiere ‘Joker’ organized by ANC. I have lectures all 5 days of the week and my lecturers are very friendly and classrooms are really interactive. My plan is to transfer to University of Toronto, Canada because it’s a great university to pursue my Psychology degree and achieve my goals in becoming a Clinical Psychologist.

School life was fun because there were so many kids, every batch had 400 students and with over 5000 students in the entire school it provided a lot of variety and made it very enriching. I had many good friends and the teachers were really great. I played football at school and did scouting as well. I maintained good grades in my academics and received 2A*, 4A and 1B for my O/levels. During my A/Levels I was committed to make the best out of my school journey and embraced each moment. From a young age I was fascinated with Astronomy. My Dream is to become an Astronomer in America. I think America is an awesome country and the best when it comes to space science and space technology. After completing my A/Levels in Physics, Computing and Mathematics I started to evaluate my options.
I decided to join ANC because it’s the best place for U.S/Canada University Transfer Programs. ANC’s transfer programmes were highly recommended because they are excellent in transferring students through a guaranteed pathway to many good universities in U.S and Canada. My cousin also went to ANC and transferred to U.S and is doing really well. I enrolled for the fall intake 2019 to major in Astronomy under the 2+2 U.S University Transfer Program. I am considering to go to Wichita State University as my cousin is in Kansas City. My dream is to do space research and work in a planetarium, which would give me the opportunity to inspire kids to love astronomy. My experience at ANC has been great over the past 2 weeks; the students, lecturers and staff are very helpful and friendly and makes students settle in comfortably. I made the right choice with ANC to realize my dreams in Astronomy.

During my school life I was involved in many extracurricular activities; Football, Badminton, Karate and so forth. I represented my school at the national level events in Karate as well. Amidst all these activities my father’s words of wisdom resonated “it is better to start looking for the right college now rather than after A/Levels, as each person has different strengths, if you rush, it might not be the right choice for you, so start early as possible”. Golden words of my father that prompted me to start my search for the right institute one year prior to my A/levels.

I believe my goal to transfer to a good university in Canada to be a Biomedical Engineer is possible with ANC.
