ANC Student wins 1st runners up at Miss World Sri Lanka 2019

Thulja Yang won 1st Runners up at the recently held beauty pageant ‘Siyatha Miss World Sri Lanka 2019’ on 14th of October.
Thulja describes this great moment in her life, “It was an amazing experience to be part of this pageant, I really appreciate the fact that it was about Beauty with a Purpose’.
A firm believer of empowering women, ‘I really wanted to take this opportunity to promote women empowerment and women’s rights. My Beauty with a Purpose project was on Teen Pregnancy and Sex Education, as it is not spoken about much in Sri Lanka’.
Apart from modelling she is a Championship Athlete winning 3 Gold Medals for Hurdles, Track and Putt Shot for under 19 in 2019. She was a very active student at Wycherley International School and was involved in the Interact Club, Law Society, Sports and many community projects. She has been modelling from the age of 16 years and plans to continue her modeling career.
Thulja Joined the Canada University Transfer Programme for Fall intake 2019 batch to major in Business Law, ‘I joined ANC because their University Transfer Programmes are very trust worthy and that gives me the flexibility to pursue my modeling career while studying full time for my degree at ANC’.
