‘One Big Friday Night Party’
View(s):A grand ‘Sing-Along Session along with a Musical Concert featuring some of the top entertainers in Sri Lanka was held at the ‘ Ape Gama’ premises in Battaramulla last week.
There were lots of fun and excitement created at this ‘Sing-Along and Concert’ held on 25th October 2019, Ape Gama Theatre to raise necessary funds in aid of the Mission House Construction Project at St. John Dal Bastone Church, Pelawatte.
This ‘One Big Friday Night Party’ featured top musicians Sohan Weerasinghe, Rukshan Perera, Anil Bharathi and Yasmin de Silva and was an initiative by Rev. Dr. Anthony Fernandopulle the Parish Priest, to raise funds for the church Construction Project at St. John Dal Bastone Church.
The event turned out to be “One Big Friday Night Party” with more than 600 people in attendance, mostly parishioners comprising families with children, their friends, loved ones and relatives. The young and the old, rocked the dancing floor, to some scintillating music by Sohan and the X’Periments. The singers and musicians did a splendid job to keep the dance floor alive and ticking with some superb music and entertainment.
A joyful family atmosphere prevailed throughout the show with some delicious food and drink stalls, catering to the taste buds as well. The audience was treated with welcome gifts and, there were entrance ticket draws, baila competitions etc., making it a night to remember for all the parishioners of St. John Dal Bastone Church.
