New York Grill and Cuisine
Located down Saranankara Road in Dehiwela-Mount Lavinia the first thing to hit you about this place is the amazing smell of food. The restaurant which is clean and comfortable is an American BBQ restaurant.
Meat and ingredients are imported all the way from New York we are told.
The popular favourites include Grilled Chicken, Shrimp Kebab and Tandoori chicken BBQ style. Side dishes include rice, mash and fries.
Sauces include the original signature NY sauce,BBQ sauce,hot,buffalo,honey, mustard and mango pineapple sauce.
The restaurant is active on Uber eats with special discounts. So try them out if you can’t dine in.

M’eat US (Colombo 07)
Arelatively new BBQ restaurant in Sri Lanka M’eat US is located at No: 16 , Flower Road Colombo 07 and is open from 5 – 11 P.M throughout the week to satisfy your hunger pangs. The restaurant’s Kochchi sausages, ribs platter and pork rack are few of the popular favourites, served with their hot and yum BBQ sauce and potatoe salad. The price ranges from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000. The restaurant also comprises of an outdoor seating area as well

The Verandah (Galle Face Hotel)
The Verandah at Galle Face is our next option. Along with the beautiful view and the ambiance of the terrace what could be better than a yummy buffet of grilled and barbecued meat.
The Thai style chicken with its marinade of lemon, honey and chili is a must to try. In addition to the tandoori chicken the pasta is also one of the dishes you must try at the Verandah. Its a bit pricey ranging from Rs.2000 – Rs.3500. However, its defineatley worth a visit.
Smokestacks
Smokestacks does some great slow-cooked meat. Situated at 190, Cotta Rd, Colombo 08. It’s opened from 10am -10pm on all days of the week.
During weekends the restaurant is open till 12 A.M. Smokestacks serves up western cuisine dishes with prices ranging from Rs.1000 – Rs.1500.
The restaurant features an outdoor section, dine-in and take-away.The restaurant is child friendly and is a great place to have some smoked meat with a few friends. Dishes such as the smoked platter, the pasta plates, lamb, beef BBQ are a must to try.

Grill Kitchen
Located at 363, 10 Battaramulla- Pannipitiya Road, Ruhunupura, it is open from 11 A.M to 10 P.M, during days of the week except for Monday. Grill Kitchen is specialized in its Dubai Cuisine method. The prices in this restaurant range from Rs. 200 to Rs. 2,700, which is definitely pretty welcoming. Referring to it’s mouth watering BBQ Dishes; the charcoal grilled chicken, charcoal pork chops, charcoal grilled fish and it’s beef kebabs and lamb kebabs are a must try.
All meats are marinated with home made spices and served with fresh BBQ, Chili, Tomato, Schezwan, Garlic, Mayo and Hummus for you to try.
