A half ton by Kemira Nayanatharu was the highlight of the opening day’s play between Gurukula MV, Kelaniya and St Servatius’, Matara at the Uyanwatta Stadium in Matara.

Kemira’s knock saw Gurukula MV taking first lease of the wicket make a modest total of 160 runs. Bad light hampered proceedings thereafter as the match was called off early. The match will be continued today.
