New cinema in Negombo-Kochchikade
A brand new cinema hall will be opened in Negombo, Kochchikade, an area famous for theatre and drama and film artistes and stars of early days of cinema.
The air-conditioned digital cinema with advanced facilities like 5.1 Dolby digital sounds, Qube Digital Projection, wide screen and push back seats will have the advanced bookings with E-ticketing facility. Located on the second floor of KK Plaza Building by the Colombo-Chilaw main road, the cinema will be opened on December 20. With a standby generator to ensure uninterrupted movie experience, the filmgoers will have ample car parking facility.
Managed by Nishantha Pradeep of Global Mesh Solution (Pvt) Ltd, owner and operator of City Cinema, – Mt Lavinia and New Janaki – Matugama, the cinema will run Sinhala, Tamil and Hindi films of CEL circuit.
The theatre will be opened with Sinhala film “U Turn” and Tamil film “Hero” with five screenings daily at 10.30am , 1.30, 4.15, 7.00 and 9.30pm and ticket rates will be ODC -Rs 350/- and BOX – Rs 500/.
