Climates have always changed but, today, due to human behaviour, that change is so rapid and extreme, it is out of control. This rapid climate change has been precipitated by a lack of sustainability in our daily lifestyles.

It’s time to review our lifestyles and get smarter if we are to arrive at a new epoch as a species… what can we do to change course in our daily lives? How do we make our individual lives sustainable?

Leading architect Sunela Jayewardene will introduce the Sustainable Lifestyles series in her introductory lecture, ‘How to Live Smart’ on December 18 from 5.45 p.m. to 6.45 p.m. at the Lighthouse Auditorium and Lawns, Horton Place, Colombo 07. The lecture is free and open to all.

With their lecture, Dilmah Conservation, in association with the UN Global Compact Network Sri Lanka (UNGC-SL) and Biodiversity Sri Lanka, continues the conversation on ‘Climate Reality’ initiated in July 2018.Climate Reality is intent on building a nation-wide dialogue on what we should expect and prepare for in the context of the changing climate.
