Saegis Campus Graduation a grand success

Saegis Campus, one of the elite quality private higher education providers in Sri Lanka held the annual convocation on 29th November 2019 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall Colombo, celebrating the accomplishments of 274 graduating students.
Saegis Campus operates with the aim of bringing forth the next generation of leaders and intellectuals who possess the right mixture of strategic sense and inherent understanding of how their thinking, skills and talents could be applied in achieving their aspirations while contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the country. The affiliations of the Saegis Campus consist of three of the much sought after Universities in the world, Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), Heriot Watt University (HWU), in the UK and Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) in the UK.
The occasion was graced by Honourable Senior Prof. Samapth Amarathunge, Vice Chancellor of University of Sri Jayewardenepura as the Chief Guest, Mr. Bandara Dissanayake, Chairman/Managing Director of the Saegis Campus, Major General Milinda Peiris (Retd), Vice Chancellor/Chief Executive Officer of the Saegis Campus, Prof. Sunethra Perera, Director of Academic Affairs of the Saegis Campus, Members of the Governing Council, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and academic members.
The Guests of Honour also included the foreign delegations, Prof. Firth Callum, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, CCCU, UK, Dr. Christopher Russel, Director of the Business School, CCCU, UK, Dr. Mohamed Salama, Director Corporate Executive Relations – HWU, Dubai Campus.
Graduation Ceremony is the annual prime event of the Saegis Campus which offers Bachelor of Science (Hons) Business Management Degrees, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degrees, and Higher National Diplomas in Business and Computer Science.
The ceremony also witnessed the distribution of special achievement awards to students who performed exceptionally well in their respective batches of the Bachelor of Science (Hons) Business Management Degree of CCCU, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree of HWU and Scottish Qualification Authority- HND Programmes. High Achiever Awards were presented to Ms. P.D.S.N. Senadheera and Mr. H.K. Wickramsinghe for the Best Overall Performances in Academic Studies in Degree programmes and five Higher National Diploma holders were recognised as SQA Ambassadors.
Sharing his views, Mr. Bandara Dissanayake, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Saegis Campus said, “We have been able to grow as a premier university in the last few years excelling in our quality education committing into our social responsibility and innovations and as an educationist serving for well over thirty years, I have been teaching my students to enrich not just their brains but also their hearts as well. “
The graduates and the diploma holders can further expand the horizons of their knowledge at the Saegis Campus, for now it has opened the doors for MBA and MSc programmes in partnership with the Canterbury Christ Church University. UK, to create a high calibre, well- rounded and readily employable graduates with professional competence. These postgraduate programmes will provide the prospective students with insights to the latest trends in international business with a teaching panel of outstanding lecturers who possess a blend of academic and industrial experience.
