Kiribathgoda Sussex conducts Kids Athletics Meet
View(s):Sussex College Kiribathgoda conducted a ‘Kids Athletic Meet’ for its young and aspiring sports personalities of tomorrow at the school ground, where students of the Kindergarten and Junior classes were keenly involved. The day-long event saw almost all of the juvenile students from Sussex Kiribathgoda participating at sports events with great enthusiasm.
The objective of the ‘Kids Athletic Meet’ was to give the youngsters the exposure and generate the interest on sports events as they were taught the importance of taking part in extracurricular activities for a well balanced life. The initiative was a great success as the programme became a well attended one with kids taking great interest in taking part at almost all events.
The winners and participants were presented with a certificate, with the intention of encouraging them to get involved at events to follow. Sunil Jayatissa, the Founder Chairman and CEO of Sussex College Network, Mrs. T.M.R.D. Balasuriya, its Unit Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Director of Media, Mervin Jayasinghe, staff members, other officials and parents were present to encourage the young kids at the event.
