Renown SC down Colombo FC 4-0 to earn a pre-quarter-final berth in the FA Cup. The winner led first half 3-0 after Dileepa Peiris found the net twice within the first 20 minutes of the match before Mohamed Sajid made it 3 nil, one minute to the extra time.
Renown’s fourth goal was a presentation of an own goal by Colombo FC. Dileepa found the net in the 9th and 17th minutes of the game as the own goal came in the 76th minute to complete a thrashing.
Young Star beat New Stars 2-1 to secure their place among the last 16 after leading first half 1-0. In the third match Blue Eagles beat Sarikkamulla SC 2-0.
