Musaeus to felicitate sports stars; Rs. 11m to be donated to children’s hospital
View(s):The annual event to felicitate Musaeus College sports stars will be held tomorrow from 2.30 p.m. at the newly renovated Peter De Abrew Memorial Auditorium and Sports Complex.
The chief guest will be former Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene.
One of the highlights of this year’s event will be the donation of more than Rs. 11 million to the Little Heart Project initiated by the Sri Lanka Paediatric Association to build a new wing to the cardiac unit of Lady Ridgeway Teaching Hospital. The project was started at the end of July with students being issue a till to collect donations from family members and friends and the collection was completed during the August vacation.
