Sarasavi Uyana outclass Madina in Rugby
View(s):Sarasavi Uyana College beat Madawala Madina National School by 55-17 in their inaugural Under-14 rugby encounter which took place at Madawala recently. This encounter will be an annual encounter with the Madawala school commencing to play the oval shaped ball game.
At the short breather winners led 43/0.
Madawala started rugby after six months training with former Kingswood College, Kandy SC and National player, Mohamed Jabbar being the Head Coach. The Madawala school was sponsored by one of their old boys based in Australia, Faizal Amardeen, who was present for this game which took place in front of a packed ground in Madawala in Central Hills. Madawala Madina will play St. Anthony’s, Katugastota and Sri Sumangala Kandy in their next two matches in the Under-14 segment.
