Army cueists dominate opening day

The day one proceedings of the Six Red Ball Snooker National Championship which got underway at the MICH billiard boards in Colombo saw Army cueists dominating.
Army had five of their cueists coming out victorious in the first round matches they played while two received walkovers to advance to the next round.
The Six Red Ball Snooker National Championship conducted by the Sri Lanka Billiards and Snooker Association and sponsored by Malship Group is being contested by 100 cueists around the island and fought out for the late Ajward Hashim Challenge Trophy.
The two semi-finals are scheduled to be worked off on January 9 which will be played over nine frames and the final is slotted to be played over 11 frames in two sessions on January 11.
